Rural Health, Inc. Reminds Residents of Get Covered Illinois Enrollment Extension

Get Covered Illinois has extended the deadline for its Open Enrollment Period for 2026 health plans. Rural Health, Inc. (RHI) reminds residents they now have until January 31 to enroll for insurance coverage that starts February 1. This extension offers more time for residents to find affordable plans on the state’s official marketplace.

Beginning in 2026, Illinois moved from HealthCare.gov to the state-based marketplace Get Covered Illinois, the state’s official health insurance marketplace. If you do not get coverage through public programs or if your job coverage is unaffordable, you can shop on the marketplace for a health plan that fits your needs. Get Covered Illinois is also the only place to get financial help to cover the costs of your coverage.

Anyone needing coverage can visit getcoveredillinois.gov or contact Rural Health, Inc. at 618-833-4471 and a member of our team will help them enroll, at no charge, regardless if they are a patient of RHI.

Rural Health, Inc. (RHI) is a not-for-profit organization serving Johnson, Massac, and Union counties in Illinois, designated by the federal government as a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC), whose mission is to provide quality services to all patients in need of healthcare while being committed to the overall health and well-being of the underserved.
