Rural Health, Inc. (RHI) broke ground on the building that will serve as the new clinic for our Metropolis location. The new facility (which will be located at 1521 East 5th Street) will be just under 11,000 square feet and will house traditional RHI Metropolis services such as Family Medicine and Behavioral Health, as well as brand new services including General Dentistry and an in-house pharmacy. This comes as RHI has outgrown the current Metropolis location of 1003 East 5th Street and is wanting to have more space for the coming services and patient intake.
RHI first arrived in Metropolis in 2016 with the goal of expanding not only its services, but the mission of providing quality health care to all with a commitment to the underserved. Ever since then, the clinic sees numerous patients from Massac County as well as patients from the surrounding counties. Current providers include: Emily Hawkins, MSN, APRN, FNP-C, Knikki Tripp, FNP-BC, and Erica Williams, MSN, PMHNP-BC, FNP-C, CARN-AP. We are proud of the growth taking place in Metropolis and are eager to provide Massac County and the Metropolis community with the new additional services that will be coming. This new project is solely funded by the organization and has an completion/opening date of summer of 2026.
